hi, I’m Jo .. the photographer behind the lens

My journey into photography began with a deep love for landscapes, but it was after the birth of my third child, Harrison, in 2014, that I discovered my passion for newborn and family photography. It was in those first precious moments with him that I truly understood the power of capturing life’s most intimate connections.

I quickly became passionate about newborn photography and took the time to learn all about safe posing and practices through specialized workshops, ensuring I could offer the best care and attention to your little one. It’s incredibly important to me that every baby is safe and comfortable during a session. Whether its a perfectly posed shot that captures just how small and delicate a baby is, or a candid family moment that showcases the connection between loved ones, my aim is always the same — to freeze those precious moments and turn them into timeless memories.

While I love the art of posed newborn photography, I also enjoy lifestyle sessions that tell a more relaxed, authentic story. I love watching families interact naturally, the laughter, the hugs, the quiet moments, and being able to capture those connections in a way that feels real and genuine.

You’ll also find me exploring the world of macro photography, capturing the delicate details of flowers and nature. I’m always on the lookout for new things to photograph, focusing on the tiny details that often go unnoticed.

When I'm not behind the camera, I’m a busy mum to three amazing kids, and together with my husband, David, we’re a blended family with five children. We married in September 2025, and our life is filled with laughter, a little bit of chaos, and lots of adventure! We love working on our beautiful home in the Adelaide Hills, and some of our favourite moments are spent sitting by the fire with a glass of wine, just soaking it all in. We enjoy cooking for our family, traveling (recent highlights include Japan, France, Ireland, and Vanuatu, with Dubai and Italy already in the plans), and I’m currently learning to play the cello — because why not add a little music to the mix?

Thank you for considering me to document your special moments. I can’t wait to create memories with you and your family!

Let’s work together
